Stay information

How a stay is confirmed.
Saltwood takes reservations by written enquiry. This site holds no live calendar, no rate table and no payment page, so nothing here can tell you a room is free. We can, in reply to your dates.
Our reply sets out which rooms are free in your week, the rate that applies to your season, any deposit we ask for, and the cancellation terms attached to that booking. A stay is only confirmed once you have those in writing and have agreed to them.
We never ask for card details by email, and this site collects nothing beyond the contents of the message you choose to send.
Enquire about a stayAccess, honestly.
This is an old, small house, and we would rather be accurate than flattering about it. The Dune Room is at ground level. The Salt Loft and the Keeper's Suite are reached by stair only, and there is no lift. The Shore House stands a short walk along a gravel path through the dunes.
Tell us what you need in your enquiry and we will describe the doors, thresholds, bathrooms and paths as they actually are, room by room, so you can decide with real information rather than a checklist.
If this website itself gets in your way, write to stay@saltwoodhouse.com and we will fix it.
