Saltwood
A sand path winding through marram dunes toward a pale, misty sea

The coast

The shore does the entertaining.

Outside the door

What a day here usually becomes.

We don't run excursions or keep a programme. The coast is the itinerary: a path through the dunes, a cold swim before breakfast if you're brave, long walks in either direction, and birdlife enough to justify the binoculars in every room.

Morning

First light on the water, coffee on the terrace, the beach mostly to yourself.

Afternoon

Walk the shore in either direction, and we'll mark our favourite turns on a paper map at the desk.

Evening

The firepit, a blanket, and whatever the sky decides to do.

Arriving

We keep the house slightly hard to find.

Saltwood sits on a quiet stretch of Atlantic shore, and we intend to keep it quiet. We don't publish a street address or a map pin; full arrival notes, including directions, transfer options and what to pack, come in writing with every confirmed stay.

If you're planning a journey and want to talk it through first, write to us. We're honest about the weather, the drive and the season.
